Frankly I am furious that I downloaded this, as it crashes right after the app is opened. I knew this thing wasnt worth the $10 in the first place; however, now that i see some of these other reviews voicing the same problem, i am really disappointed that this app is even still up for sale. Pantone, every product from books to this app that you release is painfully over priced. I would like to think that your monopoly in this market would force some higher standards... Fix this already! But hey, good work getting another 10 dollars out of me.

The application crash upon startup with the latest version. It was working perfectly in the previous version. I will gives a 5 stars once the crash is resolved. Is there a way to get the previous version back?

You can research a lot about colour and organize a palate, but then you cant do anything with it. If you email it, you get a bunch of files that can be downloaded to Evernote or Dropbox, but then those apps cant read them and you just get a bunch of code. If you copy the email and open it in a draw app, it only pastes the words, not the colours, which doesnt do much good. So its nice to be able to browse the colours and find the pantone codes, but theres no real point to the app if you cant apply the information to anything.

I only bought this because Pantone is phasing out their X-Ref app, which I liked a lot. I hoped for roughly 10x the cost it would be as useful, but I dont think it is. You can no longer (for instance) type in HEX values and get the nearest Pantone colour. A real drag. I dont think Id have spent the money if Id known that.

This app great if it include ink mixing ratios.

I used to use this app to reference Pantones most current definition for its colours in the Lab colour space. Their values were usually different than those in third party apps like Illustrator or InDesign. By using Pantones own reference I knew I was targeting the most authoritative source. Now they dont display Lab values anymore nor do they allow access to the full colour deck without paying for a subscription. You may wonder why not just use cmyk or rgb references? Because those are both affected by colour management protocols. Defining your spot colours with Lab values bypasses the RIPs colour management for better and predictable reproduction. The app is totally useless to me now. This version deserves a zero star rating. The latest update didnt make it better. Its still a useless money pit. There is hope, if you backed up your apps with iTunes you can delete the new version and restore the old one. It worked for me.

The new interface is great, modern and easy to use. But to charge us 10$/month to get access to all colors? Wrong. There is a basic version where you get access to maybe 5 or 10% of the first color chips of each book, which means it is completely USELESS. If I was asked a one time payment of 5 or 10$, yeah why not. Its useful but when you have the physical books around why pay monthly for something you just have to get up and use for free ? Terrible marketing idea. Are you in need of cash flow Pantone ? Do you really need to anger your devoted users like that?

Where is my previously purchased colours sets? What is going on? So they all gone? And I have pay for annually or monthly to get my colours?

They took all the premium features away - that I paid $9.99 for originally - and now its a fremium app with subscriptions.

With the new upgrade, did I just lost everything?! No more access to my charts. Need to subscribe?! Very disappointed. I feel like Ive been robbed. Its a rip off.

I paid for the app closer to when it was released now theyve taken ALL the features of the original app away from those who paid for it and want you to pay a monthly subscription I am no longer receiving what I paid for!! Dont bother buying the app its useless now and I want my money back. Dont update if you can help it!

I had paid for the previous app, which worked fine. Ive had this app for many years. I decided to pay for the in-app purchase for the remaining colour books, only to find I have paid for nothing! I want the old app back! I rate this no stars!!!

What the ever lovin heck is this quagmire? I want my old Pantone sets back! The ones I paid for! You just shot yourself in the face with this update. I used to love your product and would of paid $20/ year for a subscription, but you just screwed over a huge customer base in the screen print industry.

I used to have an app that did what it was supposed to do. And left me with this stool sample. You took away all the colors and now want me to pay you $8 a month to look at your colors? This is pure fraud. I paid for an app that now you have crippled. This is not what I bought. Boycott this app.

And now Ive lost all my saved palettes and you want me to pay for it again? Sorry, no chance!

I paid $10 for the old app, which was pricey , but great. However the new version is a garbage. It deleted all the palettes I created and do half the things it used to do. No longer allows you to extract colors from pictures unless you snap the photo at that moment. Plus wants you to pay a bunch of money as a subscription. WTF?? How can I un-upgrade ????

Let me understand, I paid 13$ last week for an app that was perfect for my need and now you change it for a monthly fee?!? Where can I be reimbursed?

You just trashed all my photo based colour palette and then put up a paywall for me to start over from scratch. Plus the entire UI is clunky and unintuitive. Great job. Wont be using this app anymore.

I thought the new chromatic books were bad. Now you go and take the app THAT I PAID FOR and give it an "upgrade". 1. I did not ask for this "upgrade" Id like my old app back 2. You can stick your monthly subscription fee in your pipe and smoke it. Clearly youre smoking something... 3. This app has gone from a great, easy to use tool to a waste of memory. Let me know when you really upgrade something. That means MAKE AN IMPROVEMENT! Not rip off customers who have already paid.
