Fantastic! I dont know who came up with idea of the small fandeck, but its great. I wish Pantone would release a physical fandeck of that size. The tagline could be: "1000 colors in your pocket". Maybe SNL would so a skit on it!

Its a neat toy, Ill give it that. The app simply doesnt cut it on a press floor. The colours are way out to lunch when compared to a printed piece. I understand its a backlit source, but if it doesnt match, what good is it? Pantone 295 C more closely resembles 285. Thats too far out. The photo feature also falls short. A photo in bright natural light, taken of a solid block of Pantone 200 C on 99 bright white stock, picks up blues and purples only, not a single red even when choosing with the eyedropper. In short, dont show your clients anything but conceptual colour choices and dont trust the photo feature. It aint gospel, kids! Impress me with an update, Pantone. I want to love this app!

What? No Printing? Im only giving this app 5 stars. Add printing, and you get a 6th. All in all, this is a super duper ( chock full of duper ) app.

As a press operator this ap is useless to me. The colors dont match a real fanbook. Read the fine print I guess.

The app works well but really Pantone step up to the plate and provide cmyk formulas and a search feature by Pantone number. Do this and designers will truly embrace this wonderful app.

Pantone replied to my concern that the colours dont match up with the cardboard fan. Guess what, turns out that, according to Pantone, this app is just for "fun", and we shouldnt rely on it. So maybe they should advertise it in the "games" category. I feel ripped off and will delete it from my itouch because its just useless.

Great concept for designing websites that I want to coordinates with clients businesses! Take a photo of there store and your halfway there to adding their personality to the site!

This app is so poorly designed that its laughable if it wouldnt have cost me 10 bucks. The palettes when loaded are so small that you cant see their names, when you search a palette and find one, you are supposed to be able to add it to your favourites, but of course that function doesnt work, and no matter what you try, you cant save the palette for viewing later on. If you email the palette to yourself through the email function built into the App, it emails a black palette regardless of what youve picked. This is a total rip-off, and its amazing that a company like Pantone would jeopardize their reputation with such a shoddy piece of software.

I am an Idiot! i had had taken the time to read all the bad reviews that this app has inspired then I would not have thrown ten bucks down the toilet. to summarize; dont waste your money or your time on this useless app.

I used to use this app all the time. It may have not been perfectly accurate, but I used to to get ideas for painting. The new version crashes constantly. Maybe it works on a newer devise, but regardless its incredibly frustrating. I hope the app designers read this... please, fix the app! that, or allow us to revert to the old version.

Works well for capturing colours, but not for exact matching. $9.99 is too expensive though.

Hey to the good folks at Pantone. So I got your new update.... Cannot wait to use it when the app finally work. After the update it failed to open. It just lags on the green Pantone swatch then crashes. I have no idea if this is a common problem? At the moment I have a $10 icon that does nothing. Any chance of a fix? Here is a grudged one star for effort!

It is iphone app you cant compare it with the real PANTONE BOOK. It works well on my iPhone 4S. I liked it.
