Can’t get the color right

I thought this application would allow me to take a photo of something and match it to a Pantone color. Problem is that when I take a photograph on the Iphone and then hold the Iphone up to what I just took a photo of it’s completely different. I’ve tried adjusting the exposure when taking the photo to match but it’s a different tone, something I can’t adjust.

There needs to be a way to adjust the Iphone camera to match what I’m photographing but if there is I haven’t found it yet.

A lot of money for an application that I can’t trust. If I can’t trust it then I can’t use it.
